Glaciers are melting. Period. Satellite data show that Greenland glaciers have been thinning at between the rate of 1/2 meter (19 inches) per year and 1-1/2 meters (or almost 60 inches — 5 ft!) per year. In Antarctica, glaciers are thinning by 9 meters (30 ft) per year.
We are but fleas agitating the hide of a far greater organism.
