As I sit down to the evening papers and scroll the day’s multi-millionaire mainstream media transcript and the least odious of ‘right’ leaning blogs I am struck by the consensus that killing cops and planning to kill cops and blow up their funeral and kill more cops is, well… as American as baseball, mom’s apple pie and Harley Davidson motorcycles. Wow! When did that happen?
I’ve been a ‘Hippie” nigh on forty-three years, protested the war I fought both before and after, protested with AIM, got my picture taken tossing a tear-gas canister back at ‘em, raised a lot of hell and have even been in jail a time or two, and have long been an advocate for a change in the existing order… but aside from having never hated anyone in the first place… I’ve never hated cops. Never overtly shown disrespect, wished them ill-will nor plotted their demise, never had a complaint with the recognition that sad as it may be law and law enforcement is a necessity. Fact is, I don’t think there’s enough of ‘em out there… especially along Portland Avenue Speedway at college rush-hour. And you know what guys and gals… you just keep doin’ a good job, stay safe, and if you ever need me to back you up, don’t hesitate to call.

According to the NYTimes, over the weekend federal officials took eight members of a Michigan-based Christian militia group into custody, with indictments served on sedition and weapons charges. Based on court filings, it is believed that the nine radicals intended to kill an unidentified law enforcement officer, and attack the funeral procession with explosive similar to those used against U.S. troops in Iraq. The goal, according to the indictment, was to create some kind of “uprising against the government.”
So, teabitches, do the same rules apply to White Christian Racist Terrorists?
Your “antiterror doctrine clearly states that we must strip these “terrorists” (no such thing as alleged in the war on terror) naked and hang them in cold cages by the wrists with their arms tied behind their backs so that the tendons tear and the shoulder joint dislocates. We should waterboard them until they confess and give up their co-conspirators (the Inquisition found waterboarding almost 100% effective! ). Without question these people should be held without any trial or access to habeas corpus petitions until the “war” against violent fundamentalist groups is over. At the very least we should shunt these guys into military tribunals where the rules have been rigged to ensure a conviction.”

I’m oft admonished ore the perceived unfairness of my conviction that because all child molesters are christian all christians are child molesters, that because all priests/preachers/rabbis are pedophile all christians are pedophile and I can almost agree with that admonishment EXCEPT! when the head of a world-wide criminal organization of priests/preachers/rabbis stands there and tells me that institutionalized pedophilia, institutionalized child molestation, rape and torture “is OK, all the christians do it.” It’s not just my conviction.
